Have been watching your youtube channel for a few months now. Very interesting channel, one of my favorites. You do a great job with the videos and your dry sense of humor is hilarious. Anyway, you guys are obviously very knowledgeable and seem to run an honest business so when my recently widowed elderly neighbor asked me who I would recommend to have her underground tank removed, I gave her daughter your info. My neighbor is "Mrs. Townsend" (don't know her daughter's name) on Wallkill Ave in the Pine Bush/Wallkill area and they may be calling you. Don't know many details but I dont think it's a leaker, rather she may be wanting to sell her house soon.

I wanted to give you guys a big THANK YOU for the job completed yesterday at our property in Carmel. Knowing that once we had the house sold, I knew we would have to get the existing underground tank abandoned properly to complete the sale. I started looking on line for companies that could help us being that my wife and I now live in Maine.
I made a list of 4 companies that operate in the Putnam County, Carmel area and then started to really look into the company itself. Tank Masters was a no brainer for me. Your site explained how an abandonment should happen, provided plenty of pictures of past jobs and most of all you had great testimonials which I read. I made the call and spoke with Krista, who again explained the process and provided a quote to me within an hour. I didn't think very long before I made the deposit and planned to get it done.
The guys who did the work, busted their butts getting the gravel to the tank that was not in a very convenient location. My son stopped by in the afternoon and was also impressed with how neat the access hole in the deck was and the professional attitude of them both.
I would gladly recommend your company to anyone who has a need like mine and have no problem with you sharing this with any prospects.

I subscribed to your channel a few months back and really enjoy your vids and especially your dry humour. I never thought in my wildest dreams my wife would be the least bit interested but I showed her one and now she's a fan too. We actually have been binge watching from Ontario Canada. You make us laugh . Times certainly have changed environmentally. I remember as a kid ( I'm 70 now ) my father had an old barrel for an oil tank and no- one was concerned about the impact of oil leaking. Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value
For reasons that I won't bore others with, I needed to get my 550 gallon home oil tank removed. My house was built in '92 and I'm the 2nd owner. Now for anyone that has begun "looking into this"...you know that it's confusing, intimidating and nauseating...all at the same time. This job isn't something you can really get useful info from using "the google" and rather, you need to rely on the "horror stories" that are out there on the internet.
So I did what most home owners do; you start pinging various companies and at least in my case, you deal with a very wide spectrum of, lets just call it, personalities. Some just talk price (beware!), others talk experience, etc. Suffice it to say that the playing field is a bit muddy.
I came across Tank Masters via their YouTube channel. Yes that's right, they have a pretty good YT channel where they showcase various projects ranging from easy to absolutely complex and mind-numbing. I appreciated the approach of their videos and could tell that they take pride in their work. Further, since they are based in Warwick, N.Y., they want to be good citizens of our community.
I decided to use them and from the getgo, their office staff/team, owner and the 3 gents that showed up to my home a few hours ago are the embodiment of professionalism, depth of knowledge and ease/comfort.
This Morning at 8:45am, Sam, Mike and Craig showed up to my home with all their heavy gear/equipment. From the start, they treated my home/property as if it were their own; careful for how the tracks of their heavy equipment would impact my lawn, etc....they took every precaution possible to make sure that the job was done, not just "right"..but perfectly.
As they started "the dig" as the homeowner...there are really (2) possible outcomes; happy and catastrophic. Happy when the tank is pulled and you've luckily escaped any leaks or evidence of fuel spillage....or catastrophic...your home, tank and surrounding ground is now a major EPA cleanup issue. Clearly TME Inc. is/was prepared for all scenarios.
Craig's work on the bucket was incredible; well skilled, courteous and talented, he was able to find my tank, carefully remove huge boulders (yes, boulders!) and get his team ready to yank the tank. But first, Mike goes in through a SawzAll hole and cleans out/scrubs the tank clean....being careful that whatever was "cleaned out" would be carefully taken away and properly disposed of.
Well it was show time, tank was ready to be pulled out and both the tank and surrounding ground to be analyzed for any evidence of leakage, etc. You could hear my heartbeat pound out loud! BUT to my relief, the tank held! There was no evidence of any contamination of ground leakage and all we had to do was wait for the Town Building Inspector to come and rubber stamp the job with a CLEAN BILL OF SOIL HEALTH!
After the extremely courteous and affable Inspector left, the TME team got to backfilling the hole and then topping off the cavity with the nicest topsoil I've ever seen. Again the team was courteous, patient and wouldn't stop until everything was just perfect....down to the team clean up with a leaf blower and whisking away any evidence of their presence/work at my home.
All in, this team worked a hard 3 hours straight and I can honestly say that in all my years owning a home, I've never deal with such a professional company and work crew.
If you're considering this rather hectic and heady project....go with TME inc. They really know what they're doing and 20/20 being hindsight, even if I had "the other outcome", I feel very confident that this team would have managed the entire cleanup project perfectly.
